CHICAGO — A man who was critically injured in a shooting in Englewood Saturday evening has died, the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office said.

The man, 19, was shot in the back in the 7000 block of South Morgan Street about 7 p.m., said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.

He was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center in critical condition, Gaines said. The man, identified as Marcus Rush, of the 2600 block of South King Drive in Bronzeville, was pronounced dead at 2:05 Sunday morning, the medical examiner's office said. Police had no more information.

Seven people were shot across the city Friday night.
