ANDERSONVILLE — The Andersonville City Made Festival kicks off year one this weekend.
City Made is all about Chicago — Chicago-brewed craft beer, Chicago-based music and Chicago-based artisans, according to event organizers the Andersonville Development Corp. and the Andersonville Chamber of Commerce.
The festival is scheduled Sept. 21-22 along North Clark Street from West Carmen Avenue to West Argyle Street. The location is technically in Uptown, but occupies a commercial corridor south of West Foster Avenue that many locals, realtors and business owners consider to be Andersonville.
Revelers can expect libations from Revolution Brewing, Lagunitas Brewing Co. (which recently opened a new facility in the city), Metropolitan Brewery and other Windy City craft brewers.
The stage line-up features what organizers call "a small sampling of a diverse array of genres," that represent the Chicago music scene, including blues, hip hop, folk, indie rock, world and latin music.
