UKRAINIAN VILLAGE —   A fashion designer who closed a shop on Wicker Park's tony Division Street about a year ago has returned to the area, this time settling into a storefront in Ukrainian Village.

Anastasia Chatzka, 30, opened her new boutique and atelier Sunday at 1001 N. Damen Ave., on the northeast corner of Augusta Boulevard and Damen Avenue, in a space that had been vacant for over a year since Zeytoun Market shuttered.

"I'm excited to be part of the neighborhood again, it's awesome to be open, to revitalize shopping on this corner," Chatzka said of her new store, dubbed Anastasia.

The 1,000 square-foot space, remodeled and repainted with eggplant and chartreuse  — reoccurring colors in Chatzka's winter collection —  offers a wide range of women and men's clothing from Chatzka, who has worked with designers Betsey Johnson and Anna Sui.

Dresses at Anastasia begin at $150 and prices range from $25 for a pair of panties to $1,800 for a silk gown, Chatzka said.

Chatzka also provides a custom dress service and plans to feature a rotating selection of jewelry from local designers, with pieces from Attalie Dexter being first on tap.

Along with clothing, all furniture (save for custom wooden tracks Chatzka father made out of barn wood from Michigan) in the boutique is for sale, too.

Anastasia, 1001 N. Damen Ave. Hours are 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday; 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday.  For updates, visit the boutique's Facebook Page or follow Chatzka on Twitter at @anastasiachatzka.
