Man Stabbed to Death in North Lawndale

CHICAGO — A 28-year-old man was fatally stabbed during a domestic dispute in North Lawndale early Wednesday, police said.

The man was struck in his chest about 12:40 a.m. in the 3300 block of West Douglas Boulevard, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.

Ricky Tolbert, who lived where the dispute took place, was pronounced dead on the scene at 12:51 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office.

Gaines said the attacker is currently in police custody.

No further information was immediately available.
