RAVENSWOOD — A man found dead in a street in the city's Ravenswood neighborhood has been identified as James Andrew Truslow, authorities said.

Police were called to the 2100 block of West Wilson Avenue about 4:50 a.m. Saturday after a passing motorist spotted a man's body lying in the street, said Officer Jose Estrada, a police spokesman.

Truslow, believed to be in his 30s, is homeless, according to the Cook County Medical Examiner's Office. His death is being investigated as a possible hit-and-run, police said.

The Police Department's major accidents unit is investigating the death.
