CHICAGO — A man being transported to a Northwest Side hospital on Sunday leapt from an ambulance and died, fire officials said.
Ramiro Reynoso, 20, was being taken to Resurrection Medical Center after being found incoherent near the intersection of Mannheim and Irving Park roads near O'Hare. En route to the hospital, he jumped from the ambulance, striking his head on the pavement, said fire department spokesman Larry Langford.
He was pronounced dead at the hospital at 6:40 Monday morning, according to the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Langford said both the fire and police departments are investigating the incident.
