
WASHINGTON PARK — A man was fatally shot Monday night on the South Side, officials said.
James Holman, 32, was standing outside his Washington Park home about 8:20 p.m. Monday when four people approached and at least one fired, striking Holman in his arm and chest, according to police.
Holman, of the 6000 block of South Michigan Avenue, was pronounced dead at Holy Cross Hospital at 8:54 p.m., according to the Cook County medical examiners office.
Holman was with several people when he was shot, but no other injuries were reported, cops said.
No suspects were in custody as of Tuesday morning.
