UPTOWN — Two Chicago Police cruisers blocked traffic on West Hutchinson Street as film crews milled around outside an Uptown mansion while filming Fox television's "The Mob Doctor" on Thursday.
Large trailers and lighting equipment surrounded the mansion on the affluent street.
The show, in its first season, is about an indebted surgeon, played by actress Jordana Spiro, who is forced to do the mob's bidding, including performing surgery on criminals and other unsavory characters.
A crew member, who asked to remain nameless, said filming should wrap up by the end of the day Thursday. He also said the show was filmed exclusively in Chicago locations.
