Early Voting

With one more day of early voting to go, 9 percent more ballots have been cast in 2016 than in 2008.

Voter registration will be available at any polling place.

Starting Oct. 24, an early voting station will be open in each of the city's 50 wards.

More than 1,300 people registered to vote in Chicago after Sunday night's debate, officials said.

Across the Far NW Side, the number of early voters jumped an average of 20 percent, officials said.

Same-day registration will not apply Tuesday, and absentee ballots must be postmarked Monday.

The 47th Ward has turned out big for early voting, even without an aldermanic runoff on the ballot.

John Garrido offered voters 10 percent off at local restaurants if they showed their voting receipts.
