CPS lead testing

Gov. Bruce Rauner signed the measure Monday morning.

Tests found high levels of lead at 7 Far Northwest Side schools, but all but 1 passed a second test.

Water at 113 schools throughout the city has tested positive for lead, officials said.

Chicago Public Schools also announced three schools paid for their own testing.

Chicago Public Schools still await results from 23 other schools tested this spring.

Water at 99 schools throughout the city has tested positive for lead, officials said.

Water in at least 77 schools throughout the city has tested positive for lead, officials said.

The school is the second Pilsen elementary school to test positive for elevated lead levels.

Two sinks tested positive for lead at Bouchet, bringing the number of impacted schools up to 35.

Water at 34 schools throughout the city has tested positive for lead, officials said. 

Tests show there was not a significant amount of lead in the water at five Far Northwest Side schools.

So far eight south lakefront schools have been tested, with two showing high levels of lead.
