Veganism and vegetarianism will be celebrated at the Chicago Veggie Pride Parade in Grant Park on Saturday.
Parade participants will also raise awareness about the benefits of a plant-based diet. The parade will begin at noon and last until 1 p.m. Afterward, speakers will talk until 2 p.m. A costume contest will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. and prizes will be given out from 3 to 5 p.m.
Volunteers and organizers will arrive at 9 a.m. and setup and early registration will take place from 10 to 11 a.m. Late registration and gathering will be held from 11 a.m. to noon.
