Enjoy an evening along Chicago's other waterfront — the Chicago River — during a twilight canoe and dinner event hosted by the Clark Park Advisory Council, 5:30 - 9 p.m., Sept. 15, 3400 N. Rockwell St.

Paddlers can chart their own course or join a tour led by experienced canoeists. This largely undeveloped stretch of the river boasts an abundance of wildlife and natural scenery. Guests can also sneak a look at the highly anticipated Clark Park Boathouse.

Cost, which includes equipment and catered dinner, is $55 per person or $25 per child accompanied by an adult. Tickets can be purchased online.

In the event of weather unsafe for canoeing, dinner will be served at Revere Park, 2509 W. Irving Park Rd.
