Opa! Celebrating its 85th year serving Chicago's North Side, St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church still has a few new tricks up its sleeves.
The church at 2727 W. Winona Ave. will hold its first-ever Winter Food Festival on March 1 to 3.
Beat back the winter blahs with Greek wine and culinary favorites such as gyros, spinach pie and pastichio.
Admission is free, and free parking is available in the church parking lot and at nearby Budlong Elementary School.
The festival will run from 5 to 9 p.m. March 1, noon to 9 p.m. March 2 and noon to 6 p.m. March 3.
