The “Spring Cocktail Challenge,” inspired by the Chicago Reader’s series in which bartenders challenge fellow bartenders to make a drink with a chosen ingredient, is scheduled for 7-9:30 p.m. Friday at the Chop Shop's 1st Ward Events space, 2033 W. North Ave. in Wicker Park.

At the event, 20 of Chicago’s top mixologists will create their best “green”-inspired cocktail, as attendees vote for their favorites. The $45 ticket price includes cocktail tastings, wine from Chicago’s City Winery, beer from Shiner Beers and bites from Chop Shop. Tickets can be bought online here.
