CHATHAM —Legendary singer Smokey Robinson will provide entertainment for the 19th Annual Circle of Friends event at Chicago State University.
The concert will be held at the Jones Convocation Center and tickets, which can be purchased online, range from $50 to $200.
The event, which is sponsored by the Chicago State University Foundation, is the foundation’s major fundraiser and proceeds will provide scholarships, technology enhancements and general support for CSU students, according to Wayne Watson, president of CSU.
“We are extremely excited to host this icon of the entertainment industry,” Watson said in a statement. “This marks another milestone in the work that the Foundation is doing in support of our students."
