Noble Square's Frontier Restaurant at 1072 N. Milwaukee Ave. is putting out all the stops for National Oyster Day Sunday, with guest DJs slated to spin in the eatery's beer garden at noon.

A Seven Seas Charity Feast benefiting Meals on Wheels Chicago is slated for 1 to 4 p.m. ($55 per person, includes samples from nine chefs, raw bar, craft beer and cocktails) while Frontier's 3rd Annual Supreme Mother Shucker Oyster Shucking Contest takes place from 4 to 7 p.m.

In addition to the feast, specials available through Sunday include one dozen Chef's Choice Oysters for $14, $7 Chargrilled Oysters and $5 Ballast Pointe beer.

Participating charity feast chefs include Bill Kim (Belly Q), Cory Morris (Mercat a la planxa), Charlie McKenna (Lillie's Q), Chef Dan Huebschmann (Gibsons/Hugo's), Troy Graves (Red Door), Alex Ageneau and Doug Psaltis (Paris Club), Brian Jupiter (Frontier) and Shin Thompson (Kabocha).

This year's 3rd Oyster Shucking Contest will feature 30 chefs from Chicago from RIVA Crab House, Takito Kitchen, Tavern on Rush, The Savoy, Municipal Bar + Dining Company, Three Aces, Frontera Grill, Frontier and more. Guest judges for the event will include: Kelli Zink (Host of Celeb TV). The contest will begin at 5 p.m. and include four rounds of head-to-head shucking between the chefs, with winners proceeding to next round. The winning chef will be awarded a $,1000 cash prize.
