Spice up your evening with the first tasting night at the newly-opened Savory Spice Shop in Lincoln Square from 7-9 p.m. Oct. 9 at 4753 N. Lincoln Ave. The focus will be on the shop's spice blends influenced by the flavors of the Caribbean.
Sample foods ranging from jerk chicken to plantain chips. Wash it all down with hibiscus iced tea while learning about the islands' cooking traditions.
Attendees will receive recipes to take home, as well as a 10 percent discount on purchases.
Cost for the tasting is $10.
