TRIP's annual summer party is the event for residents of Irving Park. Head to 4100 N. Kedzie Ave., from noon-8 p.m. June 22 for free food, games and fun.
Organizers will be firing up the grill at noon, with free hot dogs and hamburgers for all. Neighbors are asked to bring a side dish or dessert to share.
Entertainment for kids includes a bounce house and crafts organized by Lillstreet Art Center and Until Architecture from noon-4 p.m.
For the grown-ups, a chicken wing tasting kicks off at 4 p.m. ($1 donation) and there's a pizza-eating competition at 5 p.m. ($5 registration fee).
Music highlights include scheduled performances by Music in the Glen (Irish tunes) and Full Grown Men, an acoustic cover band.
