Come out for the second annual Recorrido del Sol 5K. The 5K was the first major running event from the Pilsen community to benefit first-generation Latino college students on the Southwest Side.
The race benefits the Guadalupe A. Reyes scholarship program.
The 5K starts at the Avery Field in Grant Park, by Roosevelt Road between Columbus Drive and Balbo Drive). Register before April 19 and pay $35 for the chip-timed race, $30 without. After April 19, chip-timed race is $40, $40 without. Day-of-registration will be available.
Packet pickup is noon-6 p.m. April 20 at the Pilsen Neighbors Community Council, 2026 S. Blue Island Ave.
