The Ravenswood Community Council is holding its annual meeting and board elections from 6-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Dolce Casa Cafe, 4947 N. Damen Ave.

Prior to the elections, current board members will provide an update on the council's efforts in 2013.

Originally founded in 1958 to fight crime and blight, the council has since evolved into an engine for economic development and green initiatives.

The council serves the area bounded by Addison Street on the south, Bryn Mawr Avenue on the north, Clark Street on the east and the Chicago River on the west.

Dues must be current to participate in voting: $25 for residents, $50 for nonprofits and $75 for businesses.
