Concerned about the recent closure of the 13th District Police station, neighbors are banding together to create a Neighborhood Watch.

The first meeting will take place Wednesday, January 9 from 7 to 9 p.m. at Innjoy Eat & Drink, 2051 W. Division.

At the gathering, the group will be discussing public safety issues, tips, and ideas for keeping the neighborhood safe. A phone tree that the Ukrainian Village Neighborhood Watch Group is organizing will be discussed, too.

Sgt. Juan Clas, our 12th District CAPS Sergeant is scheduled to be there as well.
