Playground Rally at Ravenswood School

Ravenswood Elementary kicks off a fundraising campaign for its new playground with a visit from Gov. Pat Quinn and Ald. Ameya Pawar (47th) at the unveiling of the design for the school's planned green space, Oct. 12, 12:30 p.m., 4332 N. Paulina St.

The school has received $1.2 million in funding to build the playground and needs another $300,000 to reach its goal.

Members of the community are invited to the unveiling and to take a tour of the school's grounds. Join in a kickball game or enjoy some apple cider and fall treats while supporting Ravenswood.
