While biking is encouraged, a bus will also be available on this free two-hour tour around a select group of community and school gardens in Pilsen.

Many of the gardens on the tour feature Monarch Butterfly sanctuaries, native grass plantings, organic vegetables and creative re-use and recycling techniques. The tour will also include stops at several of Pilsen's iconic murals. The last garden will have a small reception where winners of the Garden Tour Raffle will be announced.

The event is free and open to the public. A bus will leave Whittier Elementary (at 23rd Street & Wolcott Avenue) at 4 p.m.

This year's tour is sponsored in part by NeighborSpace, Openlands and 25th Ward Alderman Daniel Solis.
