Instead of the usual 3.12-mile 5k, celebrate Pi Day with a 3.14-mile run to celebrate the first three digits of the world's most famous number.

The run kicks off at Fleet Feet Sports in Old Town, 1620 N. Wells St. at 6:28 p.m. (twice pi) and includes a post-run pizzie pie party at the shop.

The illinois Science Council is teaming up with Fleet Feet Sports to honor the importance of math and running with the fun run.

Capacity for the run is 314 people, so check online here before racing over to the starting line.
