North Center Community Meeting: Northside IrishFest Proposal

Originally proposed and then shelved in 2013, plans for a Northside IrishFest in North Center are back on the table in 2014.

The Northcenter Chamber of Commerce and 47th Ward are hosting an informational meeting to provide details about the festival and gather community feedback, 7 p.m., Thursday, Northcenter Chamber of Commerce offices, 4054 N. Lincoln Ave.

The intention of the festival is to celebrate the community and Irish culture, with an emphasis on performing and visual arts. The proposed dates are Sept. 12-14, on Damen Avenue between Byron Avenue and Irving Park Road.
