For four days, Lane Tech will transform its parking lot into a mini-Riverview during the sixth annual Memorial Day Carnival.
Attractions include crides for kids of all ages — Tilt-A-Whirl, Tea Cups, Speedway and other favorites — along with games of chance. Chow down on corn dogs, funnel cakes, cotton candy and all manner of food that's perfectly acceptable only at amusement parks, though not recommended for consumption immediately prior to the Tilt-A-Wheel.
Proceeds will benefit the Lane Tech Century Foundation, which was established by alumni in 2004 with the goal of raising $2 million toward campus improvements.
Carnival hours are: 5-10 p.m., May 24; noon - 10 pm., May 25-26; noon - 8 p.m., May 27.
