The parade will begin at 11 a.m. May 27 at Onahan Elementary School, at 6634 W. Raven St., and concludes at Taft High School, 6530 W. Bryn Mawr Ave., with a ceremony honoring the men and women who have served our country.

Speakers include Ald. Mary O'Connor (41st) and Rep. Jan Schakowsky, D-Chicago, and residents who will share their stories, raise the flag and pay a special tribute to soldiers killed in action.

The parade will travel west on Raven (crossing the railroad tracks) to Avondale, continue south on Avondale to Nina, turn right and travel south on Nina to Nickerson, turn left and travel south on Nickerson, which turns into Ardmore.

The parade will continue east to Natoma, turn right and travel south on Natoma to Hurlbut and turn left and travel east on Hurlbut to Taft High School.
