City Lit Books, 2523 N. Kedzie Blvd., will host The Lunatic Heroes Troubadour Tour at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10.

"The Lunatic Heroes Troubadour Tour, comprised of author C. Anthony Martignetti and singer-songwriter Nicolas Despo, does not perfectly emulate the troubadour themes of chivalry and courtly love, but it DOES take mad stabs at them. Alongside the contemporary melodies of Despo’s acoustic music, Martignetti will share excerpts from his new book 'Lunatic Heroes: Memories, Lies, and Reflections.' Dark, comic, raw, disturbing, and often redemptive, these fifteen tales will take you from the 1950s to the present, along with a repeating cast of heroes and lunatics. Neil Gaiman has called his book “beautifully, honestly, sometimes fiercely told, and like Martignetti himself, unique.”
