Ald. Joe Moore (49th) invites neighbors to hear about a proposed liquor store to replace Isam's Liquor Store on Sheridan Road. A liquor moratorium would need to be lifted by the City Council in order for a new store to be opened there, but the current liquor store owner, Sam Sadaqa, said he doesn't want to leave and the building's owner won't renew his lease.
Sadaqa said he plans to plead his case to the alderman and community at a public meeting at 7 p.m. May 28 at Ciao Bella Cafe, 6800 N. Sheridan Road.
