The Lakeside Area Neighbors Association block club is trying to get Uplift Community High School, 900 W. Wilson Ave., to remove the locks from a gate that they say unnecessarily limits residents' access to Uplift's campus park after school hours.
On Saturday, the group is meeting at the park, which is behind the school, to discuss their concerns and seek support for their cause.
The meeting is also an opportunity for neighbors to meet and greet, and there will be coffee and pastries served.
