Sponsored by Curbside Splendor Publishing, Another Chicago Magazine and Quimby's Bookstore, crooners from five Chicago organizations with literary and music bents will compete against each other for the title of "Karaoke Idol" at this monthly fundraiser.

At 10 p.m., host "Shameless Karaoke" will open up the floor to anyone who wants to belt out their favorite songs.
