The North River Commission and Our Lady of Mercy Church have teamed to put together Albany Park's first Jazz Fest at the Dome from noon to 9 p.m. Sept. 14 at 4419 N. Kedzie Ave.
Admission to the event is free. Food and drinks will be sold.
The lineup of artists features a number of acclaimed local musicians.
1 p.m.: Northeastern Illinois University Jazz Band
2 p.m.: Violinist Diane Deline
3 p.m.: Halcyon Theatre
4 p.m.: Dawi & Friends Quintet. Bassist David "Dawi" Williams leads a rhythm-heavy band influenced by beats from around the world.
5 p.m.: Vocalist Sarah Marie Young. Combining classical training with her roots in the Baptist church, Young's style ranges from Sarah Vaughn to Alicia Keys.
6 p.m.: Bill McFarland & the Chicago Horns
7 p.m.: The Brazilian stylings of Bossa Tres
8 p.m.: Vocalist Tecora Rogers. Her "power jazz" marries jazz and gospel traditions.
