International Day of the Girl at Holy Trinity High School

A United Nations foundation focused on empowering girls around the world comes to Holy Trinity High School at 1443 W. Division Street this Friday.

Scheduled for 5 to 7 p.m., the “Unite for Girls Tour” is part of the International Day of the Girl (Oct. 11) and includes an appearance by Danni Allen, the current winner of NBC’s Biggest Loser, and a musical performance by teen pop stars Megan and Liz.

The event will also feature a screening of Girl Rising, a film and global action campaign that advocates for educating girls in developing countries.
