Showcasing more than 100 local, artisanal vendors, Indie Wed is the unconventional cousin of more traditional bridal expos.
Sure, you can still shop for your florist, photographer and caterer here, but prospective brides and grooms will also find themselves plied with craft cocktails while enjoying can-can performances and carnival games at the Cirque de l’Amour vaudeville-themed wedding lounge. There's even a kissing booth for couples who need a reminder of what brought them to Indie Wed in the first place.
Tickets are on sale online, $15 person or $25 for two through noon Friday. Tickets at the door cost $20 per person, cash only. The event is scheduled for 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday at the Ravenswood Event Center, 4043 N. Ravenswood Ave.
