The second annual "I" Run Chicago 5K/8K will be held Sunday morning starting at the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum in Lincoln Park.

The run raises money for the University of Illinois' "I FUND," which supports Fighting Illini student-athletes.

The university's athletic director, Mike Thomas, is expected to run in the event and meet with runners afterward.

The Marching Illini band will perform throughout the day, and U of I alum Gene Honda, the voice of Memorial Stadium, U.S. Cellular Field and the Chicago Blackhawks, will announce the race.

Race day registration is $40 for the run. Participants can pick up their number, T-shirt, goodie bag, course map and other information from 8-9:45 a.m. at the registration room inside the Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum.
