College isn't free, but this presentation on how to pay for it is.

Nate Cropp, an Edward Jones financial advisor and Old Irving Park resident, will advise parents and grandparents on how to finance their children's education at 1 p.m. April 6 at the Independence Park fieldhouse auditorium, 3945 N. Springfield Ave.

The seminar will present the reality of educational costs and discuss the value of systematically saving for education expenses. Topics will also include the types of education savings plans available, basic guidelines for financial aid, and how to set savings goals.

"Paying for Education" is sponsored by the Greater Independence Park Neighborhood Association.
