Temple Sholom, 3480 N. Lake Shore Drive, hosts Yom HaShoah — or Holocaust Remembrance Day — on April 7, starting with music and service at 1:30 p.m. and followed by a presentation by child survivor Daisy Miller.

Miller was born in Yugoslavia and hid in Italy during the war as a child. She is now director of community relations for the USC Shoah Foundation. She will speak on "Remembering the Holocaust as a Path to a Better Future."
