"The King" would have been 79 on Wednesday. If he were around to celebrate it, he might have spent it getting down at The Original Mothers, which hosts its annual Elvis Fest at 7 p.m. Jan. 8, hosted by Dick Biondi.

Tribute artists will take the stage to represent "Elvis Through the Ages," performing his top hits from the 50s, 60s and 70s. A free peanut butter and banana sandwich buffet is included, along with a birthday cake and drink specials. A $5 donation is suggested for the Chicago Red Cross, but there's no cover for the event.
