Come out for the 14th annual Dia de los Niños Parade. The parade route starts at 18th Street and South Blue Island Avenue and will head west along 18th Street to Harrison Park.
Ald. Danny Solis (25th) will give a short speech at 11:30 a.m., with the parade scheduled to start at noon.
At 12:45 p.m., State Representatives Lisa Hernández (24th District) and Eddie Acevedo (2nd District) will present the Dream Scholarship Awards. Following that, there will be entertainment on the main stage, school perfromances, and activities (like face painting and ring toss) for kids.
