Derby Day at The Southern

The Southern in Wicker Park will play host to what's being billed as "Chicago's Official Derby Day Celebration" from 3-6 p.m. Saturday.

Afternoon food specials include a hot brown sandwich, which originated in Kentucky and features turkey and bacon, mint juleps, $3 Tecate beer bottles and $3 shots of bourbon.

In addition to food specials, attendees are encouraged to come dressed in derby attire, as prizes will be awarded for the best dressed man and women. Gift certificates and a commemorative bottle of Woodford Reserve will be raffled off as well. Admission is $10.
