Writer and director Nathan Allen leads viewers through the life of illusionist Harry Houdini in "Death & Harry Houdini."

The performance features real illusions as it depicts Houdini's life from his youth to his death. The House Theatre calls it "rated PG-13 for a couple of curse words and a very scary Death figure."

Performances will be held Thursdays to Sundays, with varied times, until Aug. 11 at the Chopin Theatre, 1543 W. Division St. Tickets, available online, are $40.

There is no late seating.
