New Orleans musician Davis Rogan will perform at the Filament Theater Group, 4041 N. Milwaukee Ave., at 8 p.m. April 19.
A piano player, singer, songwriter, actor and writer, Rogan founded the brass hip-hop funk band All That, which released two albums. In addition, Rogan released two solo albums, "The Once And Future DJ" and "The Real Davis."
Rogan was the inspiration for the character Davis McAlary on the HBO series "Treme." The concert is part of Filament Theatre Ensemble's ongoing special programming in its unfinished new theatre space. Admission is free, but donations welcome.
