Near West Side residents can weigh in about plans for the first new park in Little Italy in years at a community meeting Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the new Urban Prairie School, 1220 W. Lexington St.

Residents can also vote for different park elements they’d like to see at the 53,000-square-foot, L-shaped property — such as park equipment or landscape features — via an online poll by community group Connecting4Communities.

The park is on land that is part of the Roosevelt Square development, a Chicago Housing Authority initiative from the late 1990s that replaced the ABLA public housing project with mixed-income housing.
