Community Home Supply opened its doors 75 years ago — did indoor plumbing even exist back then?

To celebrate this major milestone, the shop is throwing a party and everyone's invited, 5:30-8:30 p.m. April 4, 3924 N. Lincoln Ave.

The event is free and open to the public. There will be cocktails, appetizers and a raffle to raise money for the charity Designs for Dignity, which provides pro bono interior design expertise and materials to social service agencies.

Raffle tickets can be bought in advance (no need to be present to win) or the evening of the party. Cost is $10 for one ticket, $20 for three or $100 for 20.

Prizes include an Apple iPad mini, but lean heavily toward kitchen and bath fixtures, including the sink, faucet or towel warmer of your dreams!
