Special Service Areas collect additional taxes for improvements to a defined business district. The public is invited to attend the first of two community meetings being held to obtain feedback on a proposed SSA for an area bounded by: North Branch River Channel to Kimball on Lawrence, North Branch River Channel to Central Park on Montrose, Ainslie to Berteau on Kedzie and Kimball.
The second meeting is scheduled for 7 p.m., June 10, 4650 N. Pulaski Rd., 17th District Police headquarters.

The meeting is being hosted by the North River Commission and Albany Park Chamber of Commerce.
