From 7 to 10 p.m. Thursday, High Noon Saloon will host a night with three hard-to-find beers (Undead Party Crasher American Double Imperial Stout, Bombay Berserker Indian-Style Chocolate Stout and Galactica IPA) from Clown Shoes Beer.
The bar is at 1560 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Wicker Park.
Clown Shoes, an East Coast brewery, has gained notoriety for its offbeat beer names (Swagger, Muffin Top), unconventional ingredients such as actual holy water, as well as the controversial art on the brewery’s labels.
During this event all beer will be served in served in 11.5-ounce snifters, with prices ranging from $6-$8. Local musician John Kimler will perform, and Clown Shoes staffers will greet guests.
