In advance of the March 18 primary election, a coalition of community groups is hosting a candidate forum to acquaint voters with the people running for 40th District State Representative.

Jaime Andrade currently holds the office, having been appointed to the position to replace Deb Mell, herself appointed 33rd Ward alderman.

Andrade is among the candidates expected to participate in the forum, along with Melanie Ferrand, Aaron Goldstein, Wendy Jo Harmston, Mark Pakieka and Nancy Schiavone.

The forum is scheduled for 7 p.m., Feb. 10, at Irving Park Baptist Church, 4401 W. Irving Park Road.

Sponsoring organizations are: Avondale Neighborhood Association, Albany Park Neighbors, Greater Independence Park Neighborhood Association, Horner Park West Neighborhood Association, Irving Park East Neighbors Association, Old Irving Park Association, People of East Albany Park block club and The Residents of Irving Park.
