No need to venture far from home to celebrate Chicago Craft Beer Week. The Lincoln Square-North Center-Ravenswood area has become a hub for local brewers — Brown Line Brews will gather them all in one place.
The event is scheduled for 6-9 p.m., May 20, at the Long Room, 1612 W. Irving Park Rd. — just off the Irving Park Brown Line stop.
Participating breweries include Half Acre, Begyle, Atlas, Spiteful, Metropolitan and DryHop.
Also on hand: Brew Camp, a local home brew shop, and Bottles & Cans, a purveyor of all manner of brews and spirits.
The event is free and open to all ages 21 and over. The evening will also include a raffle for Brew Camp and Bottles & Cans gift certificates.
