"Might," an art show by Miguel Guzman, kicks off with an opening reception 7-11 p.m. at Paperish Mess, 1955 W. Chicago Ave., just east of Damen Avenue.
Expressing a sense of wonder as well as disenchantment with the world, Guzman's works use a combination of digital printing, collage, paint and his own photographs to create mixed-media works influenced by Nationalism, economic and military rivalry, war and environmental disaster, according to his artist statement.
In addition to the art, the evening includes live music by local band Passerines, free beer from Allagash Brewery and food from Yizu Sushi and Robata Grill.
