ALIVE Rescue takes in animals that other adoption organizations may overlook, including seniors, unpopular breeds and pets with special needs.
You can support their mission at Saturday's Pet Bowl fundraiser, set for 6-9:30 p.m. at Lincoln Square Lanes, 4874 N. Lincoln Ave.
Admission is $35 in advance or $45 at the door, which includes bowling, shoes, vegetarian buffet and dessert.
Bowling takes place in two shifts — 6-7:30 p.m. and 8-9:30 p.m.; the later shift is already sold out. When not bowling, guests can hang out the bar, play pool or pinball or just soak up the atmosphere.
